How Our Crypto Signals Work

Each coin receives a score between −1 and +1 every minute. Scores of +0.12 or higher are shown as a call, −0.12 or lower as a put, and anything between as neutral. Scores beyond ±0.42 are marked strong.

Inputs

  • Hourly trend — the gap between the 9- and 21-period exponential moving averages on hourly candles.
  • Momentum — the price change over the last six hours.
  • 24-hour change and range position — where price sits between the day's high and low.
  • RSI (14, hourly) — above 70 counts against further gains; below 30 counts against further losses.
  • Market lead — the combined signal of Bitcoin (70%) and Ethereum (30%), scaled by how strongly the coin's sector usually follows them.
  • News tone — keyword sentiment of recent headlines tagged to the coin, weighted toward the last six hours.
  • Fear & Greed — a small contrarian adjustment at extremes.

Coins without hourly exchange data use a simpler model based on 24-hour change, range position, market lead, news and mood; the weights are rebalanced accordingly.

Targets and invalidation

The expected move is the coin's recent hourly volatility scaled to 24 hours. A call's first target sits 0.65× that move above the price and its invalidation 0.45× below; puts are mirrored.

Limits

The model reacts to price behaviour and headlines; it cannot anticipate hacks, regulatory surprises, exchange failures or large unannounced trades. Signals are for education and research. They are not investment advice.
